Emma Cooper for AMP Show March 2015 - effectedTHIS is gonna be a swell show.   Following the “regular” Friday evening session of Drum Octogon which starts at 7pm, we’ll swoon to the tunes of Emma Cooper!

Also, this Friday the 6th of March we’ll be unveiling some fresh photography, film photography and photo collages like these from CalliAnne Blau:

And here is CalliAnne in the middle of hanging her art with Thaddeus Hink’s large photographs from February AMP shows behind her:

Glad to have the film photos of Desi Valdez (featuring his Show Chime Feb 2015 photograph). Here’s Desi with his landlord, Janet Lucek, who helped him hang his beautiful stills of moments just begging to tell their stories.

This video shares a window into the amazing skills of the Anacortes piano tuner Dan Rue.  He tuned the AMP piano (donated by Michael Vitale) this past Friday 13th, 2015, before an amazing performance of Mozart, alphorn, love poetry , and ambient guitar.

Video features cameo appearance by Ben Starner who will be performing at Anacortes Music Project 7pm on Tuesdays starting March 3rd.  We’re starting this piano night because it will be the only thing like it around.   Starner performs regularly around the region mostly as background music for restaurants and bars.   His improvisational skills will inspire folks weekly who come to enjoy the piano.

Interview ~ Karl Blau, founder of Anacortes Music Project talks briefly about Anacortes music scene and AMP.
