Session #2: August 3rd – 7th

AMP Camp is a week-long excursion into playing as a band, making friends, building confidence, exercising inclusivity, expanding creativity and learning how to rock! This camp is designed for ages 12-18 and all levels of experience are welcome.

AMP Camp will be led by experienced local musicians, along with many other musical guests! With the instructor’s guidance, participants will form bands and create original songs to be performed live on the final day of camp. We will have workshops, games, snacks and lots of fun along the way! Have a desire but no instrument? No worries! We will have guitars, basses, keyboards, microphones and drums available to play. Please join us and bring your songs and creativity to life on stage!

The Anacortes Music Project is thrilled to host our second poetry session. Join us on Sunday afternoons in a cozy, welcoming space where words are explored, ideas are shared, and creativity is encouraged.

Led by talented instuctor, Lyssa- this weekly workshop is designed for writers of all experience levels. Whether you’re brand new to poetry, returning to it after years away, or actively writing and looking to refine your voice, you’ll find inspiration and thoughtful conversation here. We’ll experiment with prompts, read and discuss work together, and gently workshop pieces in a supportive, community-centered environment.

Singer-songwriters are especially encouraged to join. This is a wonderful space to strengthen lyrical storytelling, sharpen imagery, and deepen emotional clarity in your writing.

Our session will conclude with a Poetry Showcase (date TBA), where participants will have the opportunity to share their work in a celebratory, low-pressure setting.
